Although a lot of our alumni live in the Dubuque area, we are growing in numbers all over the world! Alumni outside of Dubuque can stay connected with the University by volunteering locally on a regional committee. Regional committees plan alumni programs in their area and provide an important link for regional alumni identification, networking, social activities, and current students who would like to relocate to the region. Regional committees are unique in their ability to concentrate their activities in a given locale.
We are looking for volunteers to serve as committee members and share the commitment to promote the interest and welfare of the University of Dubuque and its connection with alumni. Each committee will host a gathering for nearby alums at least once a year, and do some email networking as well. Regional committees can bring a strong UD presence to the community, and, through their activity, come to represent the University to a very broad audience.
We have identified some states and countries that have high alumni populations. They include Iowa (Quad Cities, Des Moines, Dubuque, Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids), Illinois (Chicago), Washington (Seattle), California (Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego), Arizona (Phoenix), Colorado (Denver), Washington D.C., Ohio (Columbus), Florida, Minnesota (Minneapolis/St. Paul), Texas, Wisconsin, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan. If you live in any of these areas (or other areas) and want to help form a regional committee, please fill out the form below or e-mail udalumni@dbq.edu. The Singapore area has a regional committee (or chapter) of the Alumni Association. Check out their web site (www.udalumni.com) to see what types of activities they have.
